We offer trauma informed training for those who have faced violence in the past, and have a network of advocacy groups for survivors who may need help beyond what training can accomplish.
Clay
Owner - Lead Instructor Clay began his training journey in 2001 at the age of 12, in old school traditional martial arts. At age 15, he was offered a job as an assistant instructor in exchange for private lessons. Within a year, Clay was in charge of an advanced class. Fast forward to college, after choosing self defense as the topic of a 3rd otherwise meaningless assignment, he left college to pursue a dream of providing good people with the skills to protect themselves. Clay spent the next 5 years focusing on Krav Maga, becoming an instructor in 2011 and began Firearms Training the same year. Throughout the years, he was also introduced to Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Wrestling & Muay Thai, as well as other reality based systems. Through a course of events, Clay acquired ownership of the home dojo where he had maintained his status as an instructor. After being certified as a firearms instructor in 2016 Clay finished converting the old curriculum into the modern Training Group that we are today. Clay has dedicated two thirds of his life to the study of violence and continues to seek out the best Combatives, Firearms, and Instructor training available to keep Counter Violence’s services at the highest of standards. |
